I’m styling the inside of my life with cleaner, toxin free products and sharing them with my daughters too!

Styling the Inside of my life has always been about living from a more conscious place. It’s about personal growth, vulnerability, courage, and mental, physical and spiritual well-being. Over the years I’ve shared my stories of struggles, and triumph. I’ve shared with you charity events and partnered with different brands. The one thing I rarely share with you, however, are the products I use on my body.

In all honesty, I haven’t really been too conscious of “styling the inside” of my body with the products I use. I believe this has everything to do with being a creature of habit when it comes to using my personal hygiene and beauty products. For example, the mascara I use is the same mascara I’ve been using since high school!

Why the decision to become more conscious of styling the inside of my life with the beauty and body products I use?

The main reason is that as some of you may already know I have an autoimmune disorder. I’ve been doing so much work to heal through the foods I eat, meditation, physical exercise, and de-stressing. Essentially, I’ve been doing some deep healing work.

In Oprah’s words: “When you know better, you do better”.

How am I doing better in this area of my life?

All of my products are not 100% natural, but I have switched up a few things including the laundry soap we use, my face wash, sunscreen (for myself and our children) and most recently my deodorant.

Remember when I mentioned I can be such a creature of habit?

In fact, I think the product I have been using the longest is Secret deodorant. This has been the same deodorant I’ve been using since I began using deodorant. I’m pretty sure I began using it in grade 7 which is the age my middle daughter is now.

I was sooo happy when I saw the new Secret Aluminum Free Deodorant in stores. I felt good knowing I don’t have to sacrifice the brand I’ve been using forever and I was equally as happy to share this new deodorant in the lovely and fresh floral smelling rose-water scent with my daughters.

I know some people are skeptical when it comes to using an alternative deodorant (I know I was). In all honesty, I was afraid I was going to smell and it would leave behind a residue. But the Secret Aluminum Free Deodorant goes on clear and dry, and best of all, I smell like fresh rosewater all day.

Unfortunately, I can’t show you how lovely my pits smell unless you want to come over and take a whiff but I trust you don’t and that you’ll simply believe me. I can, however, show you that it goes on clear and dry.

I swiped the deodorant across the black tee I practically live in and…

Voila! No white residue or marks!

Looks like I’m not the only one who’s excited about Secret’s new aluminum free rosewater deodorant:

I hope by sharing this post you’re inspired to take action and become more conscious of the products you’re using as well. And if you’re a creature of habit like me there are brands out there that have been around forever, like Secret, who are becoming more conscious as well.

Thank you to Secret Deodorant for sponsoring this post. We love the new rosewater scent!
