Your health matters.

You’ll be surrounded by empowered women to learn how to take care of your health.

The saying is true, put your oxygen mask on first before you help someone else!

The same is true for your health.

You need to take care of yourself first before you can take care of others.

I just wrote about this in a post here.

Proceeds from this year’s conference are going to the BC Women’s Hospital Foundation.

You will learn from a collaborative line up of health professionals on how you can take charge of your health!

WHEN: SATURDAY MAY 26, 2018

WHERE: WEST BUILDING, VANCOUVER CONVENTION CENTRE

ABOUT THE ZILI HEALTH CONFERENCE

Zili Health conferencebrings together a community of over 300 patients, physicians, and allied healthcare professionals for a full day women’s preventative healthcare conference at the Vancouver Convention Centre. Participants are immersed in evidence-based presentations and discussions about the mind-body connection of healthy living. The sessions will cover topics ranging from mindfulness, nutrition, health screenings, and ways to improve your overall health proactively.

The conference also offers a forum for connection amongst participants. Interactive sessions will aim to build relationships among women of all ages, empowering one another to own their health and finding a voice to bring preventative care and women’s health to the forefront of our healthcare system.

THE ORGANIZER: ZILI

Zili (Zeineddin Improve Life Initiative) is a not for profit organization that promotes evidence-based preventative health information from local family physicians, specialists and allied health care professionals. Zili is the brainchild of Dr. Maryam Zeineddin, MD, a family physician who owns and manages a full-service medical centre on Vancouver’s North Shore.

THE VISION

The vision for the Zili movement is to bring preventative health to the forefront of our medical system. Zili believes that with the right level of professional support, each and every one of us can own our health. The hope is that with prevention, we can enhance the quality of life within our communities, and reduce the heavy load on our healthcare system.

THE MISSION

Zili’s mission is to provide seamless access to evidence based lifestyle initiatives and personalized health plan reviews from family doctors and other allied health care professionals. We aim to accomplish this through a number of key platforms:

Conferences and Seminars: Zili’s conferences and seminars are aimed at informing women about the value of evidence based preventative health, providing them the tools to take ownership of their health, and offering a platform for the sharing of ideas about how we can make our healthcare system more effective.

Personalized Health Insight and Tools: Zili is hoping to provide patients with an intuitive and accessible tool to create personalized insight to their health, allowing them to take ownership. Patients can then become fully involved in making better decisions about their health when it comes to focusing on the six pillars of health. The vision is to create a Zili health app that will not only give you this insight, but will also provide you with preventative health tools to improve your health.

Tools and Resources: Zili’s assortment of web-based and mobile tools connect patients with their family doctor and allied health professionals, and offer a forum for connecting, idea sharing and accountability across the Zili collective This is the ultimate vision of the Zili movement.
