On Saturday evening I enjoyed a girls night out with my sisters, sis-in-law, and a few close girlfriends.
We “styled our insides” with mouth-watering food, tasty cocktails, and dessert at S+L Kitchen & Bar in Langley, British Columbia.
The atmosphere at this Langley gem was lively, the music played by the live DJ was totally our jam, the staff was super courteous and the service was exceptional.
Most of us girls don’t venture out and eat in Langley often, but the upscale environment felt like we were downtown.
Best of all, the menu items we had the pleasure of tasting were delectable!
Let’s just say, we licked each plate clean.
Each time a dish came to the table, our laughter and cackling would come to a halt, and the sounds that ensued sounded a little orgasmic.
In other words, there wasn’t a single dish we didn’t enjoy!

ROASTED CARROT RAVIOLI
Housemade ravioli, roasted mushrooms,
caramelized baby carrots, brown butter sauce,
micro herbs
LAMB POPSICLES
Three lamb chops grilled with house made
hummus, fried chickpeas, Mediterranean seasoning
CRISPY SUSHI RICE
Albacore tuna, soy sesame dressing, pickled ginger,
wasabi lime aioli, cilantro
WEST COAST TUNA NICOISE
Seared rare Albacore tuna, olive oil poached
fingerling potatoes, French beans, Abbotsford free
range eggs, Nicoise olives, oven dried tomatoes,
baby kale, sherry vinaigrette
WAGYU FLAT IRON
From the shoulder area, this
wagyu steak is well marbled.
Cooked sous-vide and pan
seared to perfection, the
abundant marbling of fat melts
back to the steak giving it a
rich flavor.
HARVEST CHICKEN
Pan-roasted local chicken breast, house made
potato gnocchi, carrot brown butter purée,
roasted mushrooms, local root vegetables, truffle
chicken jus
SABLEFISH
Sablefish, warm bacon fingerling potato salad, smoked egg yolks,
miso mayonnaise
This warm chocolate chip cookie with caramel sauce and ice cream was the last item we devoured and it was the most delicious way to end our fun girls night out!
