Sometimes thinking about how we can make a big difference in places in the world like Kenya can seem nearly impossible. The thing is, the small everyday things we do and choices we make can have just as much of a positive impact.
The past few years my girls and I have tried to do at least one local and global act to make a difference in our community and the world.
In the past years, we’ve helped feed the homeless, donated to the local food bank, had a bake sale and gave proceeds to the Syrian Refugee relief fund, and more.
We’ve also been fortunate enough to attend WE Day a few times. A day-long event for children and youth in the city to come together and celebrate their local and global giving back actions.
Since the beginning of the new year, we haven’t made an effort yet to give back globally. I think we’ve become so caught up in our daily activities. For this reason, I was so excited when I was reached out to from Brita Canada to share with you, their latest change initiative partnership with WE!
Below is the information about the Stand Up for Clean Water initiative with Brita Canada and WE:

ME to WE creates socially conscious products and experiences that allow people to do good through their everyday choices. As part of ME to WE’s transparent giving model, all ME to WE Brita products come with a Track Your Impact code for consumers to track exactly where and how their purchase has made an impact – consumers can go online and enter their unique code. In addition to reducing contaminants that appear in tap water, Brita’s products save consumers more than $500 a year compared to buying
In addition to reducing contaminants that appear in tap water, Brita’s products save consumers more than $500 a year compared to buying bottled water*, and help to reduce the volume of plastic bottles that end up in landfills. *Based on average household drinking eight 8oz. glasses per person per day. 1 Brita filter replaces up to 300 standard 500mL plastic.
I love that we can track our impact!!!
I’m buying everyone in the house one of these ME to WE Brita bottles so we can each make an impact and give back globally!
*Bottles can be purchased for SRP: $19.99 from Walmart, Real Canadian Superstore, Loblaws, and Zehrs locations.
